TARGET FIELD
Target Field - Minneapolis, MN
Utility construction for Target Field involved installation of public sanitary-sewer, watermain and storm-sewer systems utilizing intense shoring methods. This complicated project required precise preplanning to temporarily close Interstate 394 for sewer construction beneath the freeway. Construction services also included rock excavation and remediation of existing contaminated soil.
During the course of the project, Belair Excavating was also selected to prepare the sub-grade for the future North Star commuter rail line adjacent to the stadium. This work included soil correction to remediate contaminated soils, placement of sub-ballast, and draintile installation. All construction took place next to an active Burlington Northern Railroad line.
