ND LAND PORT OF ENTRY

North Dakota Land Port of Entry

Sherwood, ND - Westhope, ND - Cabury, ND - Hansboro, ND

As part of the CBP Port Modernization Program, the Department of Homeland Security received ARRA funding to modernize the forty-three (43) land ports of entry owned by CBP. Belair Excavating received subcontracts for the site development of four ports of entry spanning across the US and Canadian border within North Dakota.

Belair’s scope of work included;

  • Land clearing

  • Demolition of existing port buildings

  • Correction of unsuitable soils

  • Mass excavating and grading

  • Storm and sanitary sewer installation

  • Watermain installation

  • Concrete paving

  • Asphalt paving

All work at the different sites ran concurrently without interruption to existing port operations. Despite facing record setting rain events, as well as many logistical hardships, Belair completed the work as scheduled.

  • Over 74,000 cubic yards of fill import

  • More than 4.5 Acres of asphalt paving
