TOMAHAWK TRUCK STOP

Tomahawk Truck Stop AS/SVE System - Watkins, CO

The Tomahawk Truck Stop was operating for over 40 years as a restaurant and fuel station for semi trucks. A petroleum release to the groundwater was later found to be migrating off-site, into a residential area. Belair completed the below grade installation of a remediation system designed by ALTUS Environmental. This system intercepted the petroleum plume and reduced the petroleum vapors as the plume migrated off-site. Vapors captured from the soil vents were treated by a thermal oxidizer to minimize carbon emissions.
